Through the door…
I graduated in the year 2003 from the College of Mount Saint Vincent with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. My concentration was in organization/Industrial Psychology. I have an obsession with the cinema a varied taste in music and a third eye for great novels.
My Philosophy
Writing is an art form and I write with that in mind. There is so much that can be expressed with words but we limit ourselves too much with the kinds of words we choose to express ourselves with. Film, for example, has broken out to reach many levels of abstract genius. The Novel as we know it has reached those heights only in brief glimpses throughout history. Perhaps its time to reach those places once again
The process of writing is exciting as you watch a story unfold before our very eyes. It’s hard to describe but it’s amazing what can happen when you let go and allow your characters and situations to work themselves out.
Rules
I have only one rule when it comes to what I will and will not post in my blog. I will post short stories and excerpts from my manuscripts. I will not post poetry in any way shape or form. Poetry is far too personal and subjective and has the great danger of giving off a stench not unlike the kind that excretes from the bottom of your cats litter box. I love poetry when it’s done properly but too many high school students have murdered the genre with clichéd emotional extensions. I write poetry but I prefer to call them lyrics. I hate most of what I’ve written in that genre and I would prefer to keep those disasters to myself.
Regulations
The work speaks for itself. Hopefully I will allow it to speak for me but when necessary I will chime in about the process of getting a 3oo page manuscript finished. It’s an experience that gives you a wide range of emotions, from happiness to absolute frustration. It can make you deliriously happy and terribly upset. When its all said and done you are glad its over but then you start once again knowing full well what your getting yourself into. I love every minute of all those elements and I hope you will enjoy it as well.
